The bench and the dedication to Agnes Majumdar and Eleanor Lee was noticed by Frieda Midgley, Newnham's new archivist. Whilst Eleanor Lee is a much more recognised figure in Newnham College (The Anniversary Art Commission is funded by her legacy and there are several objects in the art collection that were donated by her), Agnes is remembered alongside her by 11 of their peers.
Frieda also goes on to find that Agnes had two other sisters who attended Newnham College, one of whom was known for her involvement in the suffrage movement and whose profile is to be found on the Newnham College website:
